Our story
At Ryesgade 29 in Aarhus, this building was once home to mission hotels with temperance restaurants. A place of silence, discipline, and faith. Today, it has been reborn.
We are named after the Danish king and saint, Canute the Holy — a man who stood for power, faith and destiny. We build a bridge between the ceremonial and the grounded. We honour history, but we live in the present.
There are no promises of abstinence here. Only promises of flavour.
We serve well-crafted beer, honest food and good hours — in surroundings where the weight of the past meets the pulse of the present. A place where you are allowed to stay a little longer.
This is not just a gastropub. Sankt Knuds is where history meets craftsmanship.
